Australian Hardware Meetup, Sydney

2025-06-12

I was in Sydney for EDUtech, and the Australian Hardware Meetup happened to fall the next night, so I went along.

The room was packed. It's always a good sign when a hardware meetup fills a venue, because hardware people are usually scattered thin compared to the software crowd.

NOA presenting their wireless charging receiver configurator

The highlight for me was our friends at NOA presenting their wireless charging work, including a live demo of their receiver configurator tool for dialling in charge current, voltage targets and protection settings.

If you work on hardware in Australia and haven't been to one of these, go. There aren't many rooms where everyone understands why your enclosure took three revisions.
